1. Eligibility
- Only Indian citizens, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Non-Resident Indians (NRI), individuals of Indian Descent or Heritage can create a profile.
- Users must be at least 21 years old to create an account and use the platform.
- Users must provide accurate and truthful information during registration and profile setup.
- If you are registering on behalf of the prospective bride or groom on our app or accessing the app for them, it means you have their consent for creating and accessing their profile on OurJourney.
2. Account Security
- Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials (username, password, OTP, etc.).
- Users must not share their account details with anyone else.
- If a user suspects unauthorized access to their account, they must inform the app's support team immediately.
3. Image Policy
- Users must upload genuine 4 or more recent photos taken specifically for matrimonial purposes.
- Photos can be close-up, full view, captured in good light. Preferably with a clear background, ensure that your photos are not animated, blurred, collage, duplicate, or include animals, scenery, vehicles, celebrities, landscapes, group shots, kids/babies.
- Your photos must strictly not display nudity.
- Your face should be clearly visible without any obstructions such as helmets, cap and sunglasses.
- Avoid wearing shorts and also avoid selfies.
4. Profile Guidelines
- Users must have the right permissions to upload images on our platform. Our app, OurJourney, is not responsible for any image-related intellectual property rights from user uploads. It's important for users to follow copyright laws and get consent before uploading copyrighted material.
- Profiles must not contain offensive, obscene, or misleading content.
- Users must not impersonate someone else or create fake profiles.
- Your account and profile are intended for personal use only. Do not attempt to replicate, imitate, or recreate another user's profile.
- Respect the privacy and uniqueness of each user's profile. Do not copy, share, or distribute profile information without explicit permission.
- Avoid creating duplicate or fake profiles. Each user should have only one genuine account reflecting their true identity.
- Any attempt to mimic or reproduce another user's profile will result in account suspension or termination.
- Protect the integrity of the community by refraining from creating misleading or deceptive profiles.
5. Communication
- Users must communicate respectfully and courteously with other users.
- Harassment, bullying, or abusive language is strictly prohibited.
- Users must not solicit money or engage in any form of financial transaction through the app.
- Users must report any abusive or inappropriate behavior to the app administrators.
6. Privacy and Data Usage
- OurJourney respects user privacy and complies with data protection laws.
- Users personal information will be used only for matchmaking purposes and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
7. Reporting and Blocking
- Users can report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior to the app's support team.
- Users have the option to block other users if they feel uncomfortable or threatened.
8. Content Guidelines
- Users must not upload or share content that is copyrighted or infringes on intellectual property rights.
- Content promoting violence, discrimination, or illegal activities is strictly prohibited.
- Users must respect cultural sensitivities and avoid offensive language or imagery.
9. Safety Tips
- OurJourney encourages users to exercise caution when meeting someone in person for the first time.
- Users should arrange initial meetings in public places and inform a friend or family member about their plans.
- Users should trust their instincts and report any concerns to the app's support team.
- Users must not share personal contact information, financial details, or passwords on the app.
10. Background Check
- OurJourney app enables users to create matrimonial profiles. Please note that we do not conduct background verification of these profiles.
- User profile details may not be accurate, and undisclosed health issues might exist.
- We highly recommend conducting pre-matrimonial background checks before making any commitment to marriage.
- We cannot be held responsible if users do not perform these checks.
11. Purpose of the App
- The OurJourney app is designed and intended solely for individuals seeking matrimonial alliances and life partners.
- Users are expected to use the app for the purpose of finding suitable matches for marriage, based on compatibility and shared values.
- The app strictly prohibits the use of its platform for dating, casual relationships, or any activity unrelated to matrimonial objectives.
- Users must adhere to the community guidelines and respect the matrimonial intent of the app while engaging with other members.
12. Termination of Account
- OurJourney app reserves the right to terminate or suspend user accounts for violations of the rules and regulations.
- Users may appeal account terminations by contacting the app administrators.
- Users must delete their account if they no longer wish to use the OurJourney app.
13. Updates and Modifications
- OurJourney reserves the right to update or modify these rules and regulations at any time.
- Users will be notified of any significant changes to the app's terms of use.
- Continued use of the OurJourney app constitutes acceptance of the updated rules and regulations.
14. Proof and Verification
- Your profile name and date of birth should match your Government-issued ID.
- Provide your final education certificate for verification of your highest level of education attained.
- If you upload your own profile, provide proof of your identity.
- If someone else uploads your profile, they must provide proof of their identity and yours.
- For divorced individuals, submit a copy of your divorce order copy.
- For widowed individuals, submit a copy of your spouse's death certificate.
- If a user posts data on the platform, they must provide evidence for the information without objection.
- Failure to do so within a reasonable time may result in the termination of the profile or access to the platform without a refund and taking legal action as necessary.
- We may conduct video verification of profiles to ensure authenticity.
- If necessary, we will also verify the profile creator's identity through video verification, especially if the profile was not created by the user themselves.
- Don't worry, these documents won't appear on your profile or be visible to anyone visiting your profile. We only collect and use them for verification.
15. Payments
- Payments for services are required in advance and are non-refundable once subscribed to.
- Any refunds, if granted, are at the discretion of the Company with no guarantee of accuracy or timeliness.
- The Company does not guarantee server uptime or application functionality, operating on a best-effort basis.
- Profiles are added naturally through word-of-mouth, so there might be delays, and occasionally, there might be months without new profiles. This means there's no guarantee of finding specific profiles within a set timeframe, and we can't promise a specific number of profiles on our app.
- Liability is limited to refunding amounts paid, if applicable..
- Since we offer Freemium profiles, the free services come with no liability.
- The Company uses third-party payment gateways on the platform. Any issues or failures with these gateways will be communicated directly to users.
- OurJourney is not responsible for any additional currency conversion charges, deductions, or errors that may occur from the payment gateway.
- OurJourney reserves the right to modify terms without notice, with continued use signifying acceptance of changes.
By using the OurJourney mobile matrimony app, users agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. Failure to comply may result in account restrictions or termination.
